This course is currently accredited by MICT SETA and is intended for people who need to enhance document appearance using a GUI-based word processor either as a user of computers or as basic knowledge for a career needing this competency, like the ICT industry.
People credited with this unit standard are able to:
Inserting and deleting sections within a document while maintaining document integrity.
Inserting, editing and deleting headers and footers within a document.
Facilitating online review of documents using comments and tracking changes.
Creating and using Styles in a document.
Creating, editing and/or deleting references in a document.
Creating, editing and using electronic links in a document.
In this course, students will create, manage, revise,
and distribute long documents.
Duration: 1 Day
Pre-requisites: Students should be able to use Microsoft® Office Word
2013 to create, edit, format, save, and print business
documents that contain text, tables, and graphics.
Students should also be able to use a web browser and an
email program. A basic understanding of XML would also
be helpful. In order to understand how Word interacts
with other applications in the Microsoft Office System,
students should have a basic understanding of how
worksheets and presentations work.
